A significant portion of the current collection remains faithful to Raphael's original designs. Within just twenty-one years, Bordallo Pinheiro's vibrant and imaginative ceramics earned global acclaim. Raphael drew inspiration from the plant and animal life in his hometown of Caldas, integrating concepts from the Renaissance as well as the Art Nouveau and Naturalism movements.

ABOUT BORDALLO PINHEIRO

Bordallo Pinheiro was established in the 19th century by Portuguese designer, Rafael Bordallo Pinheiro.
